Cute Origami Bear Paper Craft
Origami is a remarkable craft, in which a simple piece of paper transforms into some intricate shape or creature through the gentle art of folding. Before we jump into the origami bear, let’s talk a bit about the art itself.
Origami, derived from the Japanese words “ori” (meaning “fold”) and “kami” (meaning “paper”), is an ancient art form dating back centuries. Its simplicity belies its complexity, as each fold carries with it a story, a tradition, and a sense of wonder.
Whether you’re a novice or an experienced folder, crafting this origami bear will be a rewarding experience. It’s a terrific project for you to take on with your older kids.
In this post, we will walk through the step-by-step process of creating your own origami bear, with photos included. So, clear a space and gather your homeschool class, and let’s get started!
