Instructions for the Frida Kahlo Puppet
Step 1
Select cardstock paper for the skin tone (head and arms), black or dark brown paper for the hair, and different colors for the rest of the patterns (dress, flowers, etc.). Trace the template patterns on the selected craft paper and cut them out nicely.
Step 2
Attach the small, round cutouts in the center of the flower cutouts, and then attach the 3 flowers side by side.
Step 3
Attach the leaf cutouts in between the flowers.
Step 4
Cut a slit along the marked line on the hair pattern.
Step 5
Slide the top end of the head cutout through the hair slit from below. Attach the hair and head cutouts together using glue.
Step 6
Attach the earrings on the earlobes, the blush cutouts on both cheeks, and the eyes on the head.
Step 7
Use a pencil to draw the facial details (such as eyebrows, nose, and mouth) of the papercraft Frida Kahlo artist figure.
Step 8
Use a sharpie to fill and trace the pencil details.
Step 9
Attach the flower crown on the top or middle part of the hair.
Step 10
Prepare the dress patterns.
Step 11
Use Sharpies to draw details/ designs on the dress patterns. Attach the collar, top, and skirt together to complete the dress.
Step 12
The dress patterns are easy to trace; you can adjust the size according to the size of the selected paper bag by cutting slightly bigger patterns.
Step 13
Attach the dress pattern on either side of the paper bag.
Step 14
Attach the arm cutouts on both sides of the dress (paper bag) and attach the head pattern on the bottom side of the paper bag. Flatten the head with the dress.
