List of Supplies for The Clay Monster:
Instructions for The Clay Monster
Step 1
Take an amount of clay (we’re using purple clay) and form a smooth ball shape with it.
Step 2
Roll the clay ball against a plain and even surface to form a cylinder shape.
Step 3
Press the cylinder shape against the plain surface gently to give it a flat surface on 2 opposite sides (front and back side of the clay monster).
Step 4
Use the pin-head clay tool to make a half-cm deep hole at the bottom side of the clay piece. The hole at the bottom side will help the clay shape to stand.
Step 5
Make 2 holes using the pin-head tool on the opposite side (the head of the monster) of the previous hole. We will attach the clay horns in these 2 holes.
Step 6
Take different colored clay and divide it into 2 even parts.
Step 7
Use the divided clay pieces to make horns for the clay monster. The bottom ends of the clay horns should fit inside the holes we made on the top part of the clay monster base in step 5.
Step 8
Attach the clay horns on the top of the base shape, inside the holes.
Step 9
Make 2 small clay ball shapes from the purple clay for the legs.
Step 10
Attach the clay legs on the front of the clay monster shape at the base. Use white clay to make a disc shape or the eye base and join a smaller black clay disc on it to complete the eye.
Step 11
Make a small hole on the part where you’d like to place the eye.
Step 12
Place the eye on the hole; this will keep the clay eye leveled with the base shape.
Step 13
Make 2 tiny teeth shapes from white clay and join them to the base, below the eye.
Step 14
Make 2 teardrop shapes from purple clay for the arms.
Step 15
Attach the arm shapes on both sides of the clay monster base.s
