Instructions for the Clay Ladybug Tic Tac Toe

Step 1
For this tic tac toe clay project, we’ll need to make 5 ladybugs and 5 leaves. Take a small amount of red and black (half the amount of red clay) clay for the ladybug pattern and green clay for the leaf pattern.

Step 2
Roll each of the clay amounts into ball shapes.

Step 3
Take the green clay ball and flatten it on an even surface firmly.

Step 4
Use your fingertips to make pointy ends on 2 opposite sides to make a leaf shape.

Step 5
Take the clay knife tool and make a nice indentation from 1 pointy end to the other, along the middle line.

Step 6
Use the knife tool to make more indents diagonally along both sides of the middle indent.

Step 7
Take the red clay ball and the black clay ball and join them together side by side.

Step 8
Slightly press the ladybug clay base against a flat and even surface to give it a nice and flat look.

Step 9
Use a knife tool to make an indent along the middle of the red part, as shown in the image above.

Step 10
Either use a black sharpie or small black dots from black clay to add to the red part of the ladybug pattern.

Step 11
Make 5 ladybugs and 5 leaf shapes.

Step 12
Make a tic tac toe board from cardstock paper to complete the craft.
