Panda Hug Bookmark Craft
If your kids tend to read several books at one time, a craft project like this panda hug bookmark might come in handy.
It’s a common sight in our household to have several books lying around. Science books. One of The Wingfeather Saga books (my daughter). A WWII history book (my younger son). One or two of the Narnian Chronicles (my older son). And of course, the kids often stop in the middle of a story, and they need a bookmark.
Projects like this cute panda hug bookmark are the perfect craft for home-schooling kids and avid readers. They can also make a fun project to go along with a summer reading challenge.

Instructions for Panda Hug Bookmark
Step 1:
Select white, black, grey, and pink craft paper for the panda hug bookmark. Trace the 2 circular shapes on white paper and trace the 2 small circles on pink paper. Trace the rest of the patterns on black and grey paper. Cut out the traced patterns nicely.
Step 2:
The egg-shaped piece is the body part of the panda and the other circular piece is the head. Attach the half circular piece on the top side of the body pattern (opposite to the wide side). Attach the 2 eye patches and the 2 pink blush patterns on the head cutout.
Step 3:
Attach the 2 ear cutout on the top side of the head pattern. Use a sharpie to draw the eyes, nose and mouth of the paper panda on the head cutout.
Step 4:
Grab any one of the hand cut outs and apply a drop of glue on the straight side of the hand cutout. Place the glued part near the top side of the body pattern, keeping the rest of the hand part free.
Step 5:
Similarly, attach the other hand cutout on the other side of the body pattern.
Step 6:
Attach the head pattern on the top side of the body patter, keeping the head on the front.
Step 7:
Attach the 2 paw patterns on the bottom side of the body pattern to complete the craft.
