New Year’s Addition Printable

The week between Christmas and New Year’s Day is always a little bit confusing. We really don’t want to stop wearing our Christmas jammies, but we often still need to be – at least a little bit- productive. For kids, the academic goals around this time are often holiday focused, too. However, it can also be a good idea to throw in some easy-going review as the holiday break draws to an end.

This fun, New Year’s themed addition printable is a great way to give your child a little bit of quick, easy-going addition practice. When he or she is done solving the addition problems on the page, there’s also a secret word puzzle at the bottom to be “decoded.”  (Everything is better with a secret code!)

How to Use It:

To use this printable, just click the link at the bottom of this page and download it from the Only Passionate Curiosity Store. Then print it out and use it for practice with your child who is comfortable with addition! We recommend a printable like this for children working on around a first grade level in math, but you could use it with a younger child who is familiar with addition, or for an older child who could use a little extra practice.

Since this printable is New Year’s themed, it’s a great activity to use on New Year’s Eve or Day. You could even laminate it and keep it around for extra addition practice (whenever you need some quick review for your child to do). Sometimes having quick and easy go-to laminated sheets can be a big help! Your child will also really enjoy getting to complete the secret code at the bottom of the page!
