All About Sea Turtles

Sharing is caring!

We are excited to tell you about our All About Sea Turtles unit study! Sea turtles are so much fun to study. And this 13-page unit study will make it even more fun!

This unit study begins with a beautiful puzzle featuring the life cycle of a sea turtle. It also has pages for learning the parts of a sea turtle, Montessori 3-part cards, a page to draw your own sea turtle, and pages for creating a sea turtle journal!

If you haven’t tried journaling with your children, you should! Your children will enjoy looking up information, watching documentaries, or making a trip to the library to find books about sea turtles. Then they can record what they’ve learned in their very own Sea Turtle Journals! For example, did you know that some sea turtles can grow to be 6 feet long and up to 2,000 lbs?

And if you’d like to dive deeper into sea life (haha!), you can head over to this article to find 15 Creative Ideas for a Sea Life Unit Study! You can apply most of these ideas to any unit study topic you’d like. They’ll be perfect for adding to your sea turtle study or for studying any other sea creature or other topic!

You’ll also love this Big List of Sea Life Books and these Sea Life Notebook Pages.

For those of you who are crafty, try making one of these DIY Turtle Plushie Crafts! They don’t require lots of supplies, and you probably have most (if not all) of the things you need already at your house! And they’re super cute.

If you love to bake (or if you love to eat cookies!), try this recipe for Scrumptious Turtle Cookies. Yum!!

Let us know how you like our unit study and if you try out any of the additional resources we listed here. Oh, and of course we’d love to see your turtle plushies!

  • This is such a beautiful activity. I know my 7 y/o daughter would love this and baking the cookies as well. God Bless You for providing this.
