Mother Goose Monday: Crabby Crabs

Sharing is caring!

Who said Summer School isn’t fun? We’ve been using our Mother Goose Time curriculum for some summer learning, and I am so glad we chose to “work” over our break.

Do you know what my little one does when she ISN’T keeping busy?

So yeah, we keep busy. Mother Goose Time to the rescue!

Right now, the theme of the month is “Treasure Island” so we’ve been talking about all sorts of island themed fun as we review the letters, colors and shapes we’ve learned so far this year with the curriculum.

This week, my favorite activities were on the “Crab” day.

Little Miss was SUPER giddy about them for some odd reason. She always likes the puzzles, but this time, she was squealing when she realized she “build it a CRAB!”

And, the crab craft was a huge hit (considering I almost always feature one of the crafts as my favorite part of the week, this isn’t a surprise). All we needed to do was paint a paper plate, add some cute eyes, and paper legs, and for the rest of the day it was “click click click” with the crab.

The Mother Goose Time CD (that comes with the kit) has a really cute crab song to dance along with, so we played, and danced, and sang all day!

Summer time with Mother Goose Time is really shaping up to be tons of fun. As much as I am loving our Treasure Island box, I can’t wait until next month, because rumor has it- a craft is scheduled for every, single, day. (It’s not too late to order it!) Be still my heart, Em and I are going to have SO much fun!

My good friend, Nicole, who blogs over at Journey to Josie is joining me in co-hosting a link up of all things preschool each Monday. You don’t have to use Mother Goose Time to participate, so link away with your preschool posts!
