Instructions for Felt Shamrock Bookmark:
Step 1:
Prepare the template patterns and select different shades of green felt. Trace the shamrock layers on different shades of green felt; you can select a different felt color for the bookmark’s base. Carefully trace and cut out the patterns.
Step 2:
Take the two small layers and place the smallest shamrock layer cutout on the medium layer cutout.
Step 3:
Hold both layers firmly and place them on the big layer, in the middle. Prepare the needle with a thread of a matching color.
Step 4:
Stitch the small layer and make sure to join all three layers together.
Step 5:
Now, place the joined layers on a bookmark base.
Step 6:
Stitch along the side of the big shamrock layer to join it with the bookmark base.
Step 7:
You can skip the parts of the felt shamrock that cross the bookmark base.
Step 8:
Make sure to stitch all around to join it with the base. Take the other base cutout.
Step 9:
Place the plain base cutout below the stitched one and prepare a needle with thread matched with the base felt.
Step 10:
Stitch along the straight sides of the bookmark bases, leaving the round edges open. Tie a knot or two and cut off the extra thread when finished.
