What better way to get your kids in the kitchen than with promises of homemade pudding pops. My kids came running once they heard we were going to make Minions themed Pudding Pops! We had a great time in the kitchen together and a great time eating the pudding pops.
Ingredients Needed
1 package of vanilla instant pudding
2 cups of milk (I used whole milk as it makes a creamier pudding pop)
1/2 banana
Yellow and Blue food coloring
Instructions
Gather a large mixing bowl (I use my Pampered Chef bowl with a spout for easy pouring), a glass 1 cup measuring cup, a whisk, a small spoon, a knife, a funnel (optional) and Popsicle molds (or paper cups and Popsicle sticks).
I pre-measured the 2 cups of milk into my large mixing bowl.
Have your child add the contents of the instant pudding package and stir with the whisk.
After the pudding is thoroughly mixed have your child slice half of a banana into very small pieces.
Reserve 1/2 a cup of pudding mix into your glass 1 cup measuring cup.
Add the banana to the large mixing bowl with a few drops of yellow food coloring and mix thoroughly.
Add blue food coloring to the 1/2 cup reserved pudding mix.
Place a small funnel in the mouth of the Popsicle mold and fill up 3/4 of the way with the yellow pudding mixture.
Use a small metal spoon and add some blue pudding mixture to the top of each mold (do not fill to the top to allow for some expansion when freezing).
Insert the sticks into the molds and place in the freezer.
Remove the pudding pops from the freezer and pop out of the mold (if you experience difficulty removing your pops from the mold you could run warm water around the mold to help loosen them up).
