Brussels Grand Place
Yesterday we took Nana and Oompa to neighboring Belgium. I wanted to bring them to Brussels so they could have a real Liege Belgium Waffle- it’s all crispy and chewy and the sugar carmelizes on the outside. The drive should have been 3.5 hours each way, but thanks to the A4 being closed, it took us 6.5 hours to get home. Still though, the trip was worth it!
We really only had time to explore Old Town and eat our Waffles and Chocolate, so I am sure there is much more to see in Brussels than I have pictures of. This is the Grand Place, you turn the corner into the square, and your jaw drops. Pictures simply don’t do it justice, the buildings are all coated in gold, and it’s unbelievable to just stand there and take it all in.
The boys didn’t seem to care that they were surrounded by beauty- they didn’t even look up from their game of “don’t step on the lava.” These kids love cobblestone!
Tomorrow, we hop a train to Paris! I can’t wait to share the pictures with you!
Oh man it looks amazing!!!! Have you lived there long?
We’ve been in Germany about a year and a half. We LOVE it here- If it was up to me, we wouldn’t ever move again!
